A site that was once home to a freeform RPG known as the Battle (casually taking place in Dragon Riders), but now kept for history's sake. Probably.

Edit: Why I said alot? I am a 5th Elemental. I can absorb ANY Element. Which will be a pain though.

Edit 2: I should probably start with normal 5th Elemental. I'll add True 5th Elemental as a transformation for him. He will stay in the form until the MP finishes. He can switch back anytime, and he needs full MP to transform.

Edit 3: Someone help me choose: Wind or Earth as the second one?

Okay, this thread is for discussing that.

Most of the members here are inactive (GalanDun and Randolf), and I don't know if GalanDun or KarjamP has played LF2 yet.
And using The Battle characters would mean that we'd have to weaken them significantly so that they aren't overpowered and can kill enemies with one hit.

We can decide on the name later; although I was thinking about "The Battle Fighters" or something like that.
And Wind would probably work.

First, we all need to know the basics of making a character, never mind the mod. My friend and I are using some of my *crappy* sprites to try making a new character. I am learning how to DC, and need to learn HEX as well, even though Hex doesn't need to be done for characters, only for full mods. If you guys want to help me that is great.

Well, we could always use the Blender 3D modeling program compiled to have the Freestyle "line tracer" embedded into it to make the models look like actual sprites.

We should have a poll of some sort, IMO, but that's just me.

Said poll will change every now and then at Shane's command, related to the project.

But think about the number of characters we will have. It will overload the mainframe's HEX commands and say this:

Couldn't create Art surface

So Either we can all create our separate modes, because the good working amount of characters in 1 game is good at 35. Then the game shows that message. So 1 - 2 characters per person at first, that'll be the 10 main heroes, and then we can have some grunts like Heartless Shadow as Bandit. This is something from what I have experienced. But I dont know about you guys, so tell me when you find out something.

How about we first decide on the heroes per member, before we continue with the enemies?

After all, there are twelve members here (excluding Dicebot), so if everybody gets two heroes, that'd be twenty-four.

I'd say it's better if everybody gets one hero.

Well, jteow says he won't come online. Galandun and Randolf never came online. J. Russels came online a few times, then left. I am not sure that Mvskoke, nbaheen or Bla Bla Bla 44 will do this. So the people left are:

1. Shane
2. KarjamP
3. Me
4. Dr. Time
5. Kim

if no one else comes, then each of us will make 2 characters. Then we can do the grunts and bosses together for last. Having a transforming character will be easy, because we have to make a similar to Louis. Having a fusion will also make it like Firzen. So we can leave that out, but there are sometimes more than 10 heroes. A game had 27 heroes. So let's just do our Main Characters for now, then we can use our second ones.

PK and Nega-Lime?

PK's attacks can be based on pop culture, while Nega-Lime can use villian attacks from pop culture (INCLUDING casting Dark-element magic).

We need an advanced DCer,it can be Lauli,if he accepts.
I'll DC a bit too.And I think Kush can too.Anyone else want to be a DCer?

While in Sprites,we only have Triple Bla (Razz) as a spriter,that too if he has accepted.We need more spriters,too.

The Dept. of Hex Editing is completely deserted.

I think now post some rough sketches on how your chars will look like.Remember I said ROUGH sketches,kay?

Well, if you look at my battle character sheets, there is my character design. I am learning to sprite still. I have little experience with DC, and that will be hard for me. I have a complicated D>A Move, which requires Dennis's, Firzen's and Julian's DC combined. Odd.

Man i sound so lazy.
So, because i haven't posted here in a while, i'll try to make this post big.
And here we go.
I can do the sprites but there's a problem. I get bored extremely fast, in fact you can see that by my unfinished projects(online and offline(yeah i do have secret projects Very Happy)). That means that i'm more likely not finish the sheet of the character i'll be spriting, so someone has to finish it. I think some of you can handle that. Very Happy
Next thing i want to say that we need a big organization. Select the characters(only one per member, the character will be a representative of the member(yeah i know i already have my representative but i might make another or finish him or something)), then we need sketches. I could do that but my scanner isn't working, so if every one of you could post the wanted characters sketch, that'd be great.
Most of all, we gotta' accept the fact that finishing a mod with totally new characters is highly improbable. But we can still do some thing.
That's all i can think of by now. I hope this one will be a finished mod.

Yeah Kushagra is my Representative, but am I allowed to do Louis (Dragong) for my first character? He has simple (mostly) Movesets and other stuff, so it would make sense to do the easier one and then go to Kush. Louis:

We can all make 1 test character together. Then we can see who is good in what. Like I may be good at spriting, but KarjamP might be good at DCing. (Probably won't happen, but just for example)
We can use tektek to get the basic idea of how we need to design the sprites.You don't mind if my friend makes a character to replace Bat?
